Professor Kim Bruce

Adviser

Kim Bruce earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and began her PR career with WT’s marketing and communications in 1994.

While there, she earned her master’s degree in speech communication and began teaching as an adjunct.

In 2005, she created the Bruce Group and worked with small businesses and non-profits to meet their communication goals.

In 2012, she accepted a full-time teaching position in media communication. At WT she teaches courses in media writing, public relations, campaigns. She’s led three study abroad courses to Japan, South Korea, and Europe and advises the student magazine and the Bateman Team, the university’s competitive PR team. She enjoys co-advising 1910 in part because she gets to see students see the relevancy of PR in all that they do and what organizations want to accomplish.
