Closing One Door to Open Another

As the semester comes to a close, I look back on my time as executive director. Over the course of this semester, I have not only grown in my leadership skills, but I have grown in my design skills and social media management. 

Managing the College of Fine Arts and Humanities social media pages has been one of the best things that has helped me grow during the course.

Learning how to manage pages that have followers from various backgrounds and majors is something that I am really glad I got to do.

Since managing and creating content for the pages, I feel that I have strengthened my social media skills.

This is something that I can easily take into the communication field and can continue to grow in a company. 

Leadership has been a major part of my college career by serving as team lead for Buffalo Advertising, social media manager for the Eternal Flame, and Executive Director of 1910 PR.

Leadership skills are not simply defined by the ability to manage a team. These skills entail team management, delegation, and the ability to effectively communicate with the team and clients.

I have strengthened each one of these skills while getting to apply them in and out of the team setting. Each one of these skills are applicable to my future career. 

While I do not know exactly what lies down the road for my career, I do know that the things that I have learned during my time in this team will follow me as reference in my endeavors.
