More Than a Course

As a senior at WT, I enrolled in 1910 PR just to fulfill a course requirement. I did not expect much from this class. I kind of thought of it as just another class I had to take to graduate quicker. However, in the four short months, I have come to feel confident in my role as an associate on the 1910 PR team.

Working with a team to produce quality content has helped me grow in many ways.

I have enjoyed developing creative and personalized captions for posts.

I have learned how to handle constructive criticism. I used to become very sensitive when someone suggested I change the graphic or caption that I created. I developed a sense of appreciation for those who want to see me create better content.

While being part of 1910 PR, I have learned that teamwork really does make the dream work. I know that is a cliche thing to say, but it is so true. There were days when I was sick or tired, and my teammates picked up my slack. They communicated with me to relay what I had missed in the meetings and never left me behind. Even if this class was just a course requirement, I will carry what I have learned with me wherever I go.
