We’re finally here. The anticipated finale of my collegiate career, unless I decide to pursue further education in the future, that is. My return to school and 1910 PR has been quite unorthodox, but familiar in an odd way. Before this semester, my last full semester was the spring of 2021. Most classes remained fully online, with a few returning to in-person settings. Being fully online, I’m not able to fully integrate with the team as much as I’d like, so I’ve had to rely mostly on internal communication. Thankfully, my position at work requires extensive amounts of internal communication, so I’m not unfamiliar with the process.

Part of my time this semester involved the preparation for the 9th birthday party of 1910 PR. This process involved communicating with other returning members to plan the party, along with creating graphics and social media posts promoting the event. Although I wasn’t able to physically attend the event, it appears that the event went off without a hitch, with a few alumni joining the class for brunch.
In addition to the party planning, I’ve been able to get back involved with content creation, which has been sorely neglected since 2021.
It’s been pretty inspiring to see the posts and graphics my classmates have made, and it makes me want to continue creating after class is over in May.
Though my time back was short, I’ve been able to dabble in event planning, content creation, and writing copy for social media, which I didn’t have much of a hand in in 2021. I’m thankful for my time with 1910 PR, and hope to apply everything I’ve learned and relearned in my professional life.
